It has become very clear that the tremors we have recently been feeling are being caused by creatures known as Wyrms. When the meteor was about to hit I believe it stirred them up, causing intense tremors.
We know these monsters to be incredibly large and ferocious. They hunt by sounds alone.
Their main breeding ground appears to be the Industrial Zone, although they have been known to venture out of there as well.
